12 nominations rejected, 25 in fray for Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary constituency

Jammu, Mar 26:
The Returning Officer of Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary constituency, Ramesh Kumar today rejected 12 nomination papers leaving 25 contestants in fray in the constituency after scrutiny of the documents here today. The contestants whose papers were rejected are Naresh Kumar Talla of JP Janta Dal National Party, Talib Hussain of Rashtriya Lok Dal, Vicky Kumar Dogra of Janta Dal United and Tej Ram Dogra, Javed Iqbal Rishi, Mansoor Ahmed Khan, Kabir Hussain, Surjeet Singh, Suresh Kumar, Jasvir Singh, Labha Ram and Mohammad Rahoof, all independents. The candidates left in the fray now included Syed Aqib Hussain of Independent Peoples’ Party, Jugal Kishore of BJP, Badrinath of  BSP, Mohammad Younis of JK Peer Panjal Awami Party, Susheel Kumar of Hindustan Nirman Dal, Javaid Ahmed of All India Forward Bloc, Raman Bhalla of INC, Gursagar Singh of Navarang Congress Party,  Prof. Bhim Singh of JK National Panthers Party, Kanta Andotra of Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan, Lal Singh of Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan and  Rajiv Chunni, Subhash Chander, Shazbad Shabnam, Perseen Singh, Gulam Mustafa Chowdhary, Satish Poonchi, Bahadur, Manish Sahni, Sakander Ahmad Nourani, Tarsem Lal Khullar, Balwan Singh, Syed Zeshan Haider, Anil Singh and Ajay Kumar, all Independents. The last date of withdrawal of candidature is March 28 up to 3 PM. The polling will be held on April 11,

2019. The voting hours have been fixed from 7:00AM to 6:00PM. Meanwhile, Ten nominations were filed on the last date of filing of nominations for Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency before the Returning Officer, Rohit Khajuria. Those who filed their nominations today include Harsh Dev Singh of Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) and Garib Singh, Bansi Lal, Meenakshi, Prem Nath, Rakesh Mudgal, Lal Singh, Martand Singh, Shaber Ahmed and Firdous Ahmed, all Independent candidates.
With this 14 nomination papers have been filed for the Parliamentary constituency.
Earlier, Vikramaditya Singh of Indian National Congress, T R Bhagat of Bahujan Samaj Party, Dr. Jitendra Singh of BJP and Mohammad Ayub an independent candidate had filed their nominations for Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency.
The scrutiny of papers will be held on March 27 and the last date of withdrawal of candidature is March 29 up to 3 PM.
The polling will be held on April 18, 2019. The voting hours have been fixed from 7:00AM to 6:00PM.
Meanwhile,  On the last date for filing nominations for the Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency, ten nominations were filed today.
The nominations submitted to the Returning Officer here were filed by Irfan Raza Ansari of J&K Peoples Conference, Abdul Rashid Ganie of  J&K National Panthers Party, Abdul Khaliq Bhat of Shiv Sena, Aga Syed Mohsin of J&K Peoples Democratic Party, Nazir Ahmad Sofi of Manavadikar National Party, Showkat Hussain Khan of Janta Dal United, Abid Hussain Ansari of J&K Peoples Conference and Abdul Rashid Banday, Bilal Sultan, Sajad Ahmad Dar, all independents.
With this, 13 nominations have been filed for the Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency.
Earlier, Dr Farooq Abdullah of J&K National Conference, Sheikh Khalid Jehangir of Bharatiya Janata Party and Nazir Ahmad Lone of Rashtriya Jan Kranti Party  filed their nomination papers.
The scrutiny of papers will be held on March 27 and the last date of withdrawal of candidature is March 29 up to 3 PM.
The polling will be held on April 18, 2019. The voting hours have been fixed from 7:00AM to 6:00PM.
