JAMMU, MAY 24:
Naveed Ahmed and Saleem Ahmed of Jammu and Kashmir have been selected for the Junior National wushu coaching camp at SAI Bhopal for the 7th Junior World wushu championship at Brazil. Both the players cleared all the parameters of the selection committee of the Wushu Association of India and reserved berth for the National wushu coaching camp. The wushu association of india with support of Sports authority of India is organising national coaching camp for the selected campers at SAI Bhopal from 15th May to 7th July 2018.
Earlier both the players have secured medals in the Junior and sub junior national wushu championships held for the year 2017-18. It is pertinent to mention here that International wushu federation has included 05 Sub-junior boys Sanshou category in the world championship.
The office bearers of wushu Association of j&k congratulated both the players and wished them best of luck for the selection in the Indian team for the 7th Junior World wushu championship at Brazil from 9th July to 16th July 2018.
The President Sh. Vijay saraf,Vice president Sh.Ranjeet Kalra,Sunil Sharma,Deepak Handa,Treasure Rohit Sharma congratulated chief coach of India Kuldeep Handoo for making the state Proud and making the wushu sports prominent in every nook and corner of the state. They wished with the support of the state government ,wushu will achieve new height in the coming years.
Kuldeep Handoo General.secretary of wushu Association has thanked Sports authority of India and Wushu Association of india for their support and encouragement. He conveyed that the DG SAI of sports authority of India during the mission Olympic cell meeting at SAI headquarters has given consent to open the academy in jammu and Kashmir,she has sought the feasibility report from The wushu association of India along with proposal pertaining to academy.
