JAMMU, Mar 27:
Around 200 Judokas are competing for the top honours in different weight and age groups in the ongoing three-day State Open Championship, organised by the J&K Judo Association under the aegis of J&K State Sports Council (JKSSC), at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here.
The event was declared open by general secretary of the State Association and joint secretary of the Judo Federation of India, Vikas Gupta. Vice president of the State Association, Varinder Dogra was guest of honour.
Both the guests interacted with the participants from Kathua, Udhampur, Reasi, Srinagar and hosts Jammu. Prominent among others were Ravi Singh (DSO), Satish Gupta (Manager), Shiv Kumar, Suraj Sharma, Manish Chatwal, Sahil Dogra, Naresh Kumar, Rajesh Verma, Akshay, Rohit Sadhotra and Anil Wadera (Boxing Coach).
The technical penal comprised Suraj Bhan Singh, Arshi Nad, Vikas Dogra, Rameshwar Singh, Ritika Slathia, Shafkat Shafi, Jugal Kishore and Shakti Gupta.
