3 day UDAAN cultural event begins at CUJ

UDAAN an annual cultural event of Central University of Jammu has been started traditionally with lightning of ceremonial lamp at main campus Bagla.
The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Ashok Aima inaugurated the 3 day annual cultural event UDAAN during his address he laid emphasis that along with the studies for overall personality building students should take part in cultural and sports activities.
He said students should enjoy challenges and failure in life which will give them an overall exposure in personality building and young budding talent must not confined to the boundaries of the classroom only.
Three day Cultural function being organized by Office of Dean Students Welfare, Central University of Jammu under the guidance of Prof. Devanand, DSW and Dr. Pankaj Mehta & Dr. Gaurav Sehgal ADSW, Dr. Govind Inakhaiya, Member-secretary and Dr. Archana Kumari and Dr. Vandana Sharma core members of this 3 day annual cultural event.
The first day of this three day long festival started with Rangoli, Collage making and On-the-Spot painting.
The three events held on the first day was coordinated by Dr. Shweta Yadav, Dr. Nancy Mengi and Dr. Shweta Kohli. 118 participant from different department participated in the Rangoli, 27 participant participated for Collage making and 23 participant participated for On-the-spot painting.
The next two days events will comprise of Light Vocal solo, Photography, Poetry, Mime, Skit, Mimicry, Fancy dress, Folk group song and Folk dance. Result of all these events will be declared on the concluding day i.e. 18 Feb. Heads of the departments, Deans of all schools and senior faculty members were present on the inaugural session.
