36th Reasi District Volleyball Championship organized by VOLLEYBALL Association ofJ&K in collaboration with Shri Mata Vaishno Shrine Board at Sports Stadium Katra commenced to day.
In the 2-day championship under the ageis of J&K Sports council as many as total 8 teams drawn from farflung areas of the district namely Pouni, Aggarjittoo, Reasi, Mahore,Bakkal,Bhomag,Judda ,katra etc.,are participating to clinch the championship. The championship was inaugurated by Sanjeev Kotwal Nodal officer, SMVDSB ,who thanked the organisers for selecting Sports Complex Katra for the distt championship & extended every help for successful conduct of the championship. Chief Executive officer, VAJK Kuldip Magotra disclosed that as per Sports calendar of the Association Reasi district Volleyball team would be shortlisted to participate in the ensuing 36th JKUT VOLLEYBALL Championship being held at M.A.Stadium Jammu from 13th to 15th Dec 2024.Interacting with the players Sr.VicePresident VAJK, Raj Guru underlined the importance of Sports among youth in keeping them mentally and physically fit in present day world…Sharing the concern of drug addiction which is spreading fast among youth Gen Secretary VAJK Vijay Magotra cautioned the youth to get rid all social evils including the menance of drug abuse for making the Nation healthy and stronger. The Chief guest was honored by presenting a momento on the occasion by office bearers of VAJK. A large no of youth including volleyball lovers witnessed day long matches. A panel of referees Kuldeep Kumar Amit Jamwal, Vinod Kumar, Jagdish Kumar, Rakesh Sharma officiated the Matches.
