Janhvi Kapoor’s horror-comedy Roohi has completed four years since its release. The film released on March 11, 2021, saw the actress stepping into an unconventional role of a girl possessed by a ghost with a quirky twist. Despite the challenges of blending horror with comedy, she delivered a performance in dual role of Roohi and Afza that had both chills and laughs in equal measure.The film, which also starred Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma and was directed by Hardik Mehta, was among the early post-pandemic releases and also marked her fourth film. Janhvi’s transformation from an innocent girl to a spine-chilling ghost left an impact. Whether it was her eerie expressions or her emotional depth in key moments, she made sure Roohi wasn’t just another horror-comedy. Besides her performance, Janhvi’s solo dance song ‘Nadiyon Paar’ also became a rage among the audiences with the song and dance steps trending for a long time. Four years later, Janhvi has taken on diverse roles in both commercial and content-driven cinema. With films like Mr. & Mrs. Mahi and Ulajh and Pan-India film Devara. She will now be seen alongside Varun Dhawan in Dharma Productions Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. The film, directed by Shashank Khaitan, will be releasing in the cinemas this year and apart from this she will be seen alongside Ram Charan in RC 16.
