4th death anniversary of 108 Swami Chidhanand Saraswati observed

The fourth death anniversary of 108 Swami Chidhanand Saraswati Ji was observed with devotion and reverence on Tuesday at Har Ki Poudi Mandir complex, located in the sacred premises of Bahu Fort, Jammu. The commemorative ceremony was held under the spiritual leadership of 108 Swami Mahadev Saraswati Ji. Swami Chidhanand Saraswati Ji had attained Mahasamadhi on May 6, 2021. On the same day, 108 Swami Mahadev Saraswati Ji was anointed as the Gaddi-Nasheen of Har Ki Poudi and the temple complex. Since then, all developmental works at Har Ki Poudi and the adjoining Bagh-e-Bahu Mandir complex have been carried out under his supervision.
Major developmental projects are currently underway, including the construction of Bheema-Shankar Mandir, Yagya Shalla, and the beautification of existing temples. A Gowshala has also been established near the Mandir complex to support the care of cows.
Addressing the gathering, 108 Swami Mahadev Saraswati Ji stated that the construction and development work began soon after the demise of Swami Chidhanand Saraswati Ji and continues to this day.
He highlighted that several new projects are in progress and more are planned for the future to enhance the spiritual and infrastructural landscape of the temple complex.
Former Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation, Chander Mohan Gupta, also addressed the devotees and recalled that some of the ongoing projects were initiated during his tenure.
He expressed his continued support for the development activities at Har Ki Poudi.
Sham Lal Basson, former corporator of Bahu Fort, emphasized the importance of tourism for the economy of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He noted the increasing number of tourists visiting the area due to the continuous development of Har Ki Poudi and thanked all those contributing to its growth.
Prominent figures who visited Har Ki Poudi to pay their respects and seek blessings included Kewal Shastri, Rajeev Charak, Neeraj Anand, Lalit Sharma, trader T R Sharma, Sh Parveen Gupta (President, Fruit Mandi Complex), Retd Chief Engineer K K Arora, Narayan Jain, Retd SP P R Sharma, Om Parkash, Veena Bakshi, Sunny Sangotra, Subash Chander, Hans Raj, and all members of the Har Ki Poudi management committee. Hundreds of devotees took blessings on this occasion. Langer Prashad was served to all the devotees.
