Shiv Sena Bala Sahib Thackeray, J&K unit on Thursday staged protest against the continuous ceasefire violations on the borders of Jammu region.
Led by Manish Sahni, General Secretary Shiv Sena, the party activists assembled at SIDCO Chowk and raised slogans against the weak-policies of the BJP led Government at the Centre.
The protesters burnt the effigy of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. The protest was held on the directions of Dimpy Kohli, State President of Shiv Sena.
Addressing media persons here, Sahni said that in the last fifteen days more than 52 Jawans have been martyred and the BJP shamelessly has been busy in party politics in view of forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
He asserted that there are certain elements in the society who are trying to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere of Jammu.
While condemning the grenade attack at Jammu Bus Stand, Sahni said that there is dire need to give befitting reply to Pakistan which is sponsoring terrorism in the J&K.
After taking credit the air strike conducted by the Indian Air Force, BJP is maintaining silence inspite of intensifying more such strike against the Pakistan, he said, adding that after the air strike, Pakistan has violated ceasefire agreement more than 60 times in the last ten days due to which more than one hundred families residing border areas of Jammu region have been affected.
He asserted that more than one hundred security forces personnel have been martyred in 2018-19 in the sake of nation.
General Secretary Shiv Sena said that today’s grenade blast proved that the BJP Government has been failed to teach a lesson to the separatists who are openly promoting and sponsoring anti-national activities in the country. He appealed to the Modi Government to keep politics aside and give befitting reply to Pakistan.
Among those who joined the protest include Surjit Singh Chib Vice President, Vikas Bakshi Secretary, Raju Choudhary, Raju Salaria, Sunny Singh, R.S Jamwal, Pawan Singh, Akshit Talwar, Ganesh Lal and Mangu Ram.
