New Delhi, Nov 15 :
A week ago we had news that e-commerce site Flipkart was partnering with Nokia to sell their own Smart TV in India. While we did not know much about the TV apart from the fact that it would come with JBL audio, new reports claim that the Nokia TV will feature a 55-inch screen with a UHD 4K panel.
The report by Times of India also mentions that the Nokia smart TV will run on Android 9.0 Pie and will support the Google Play Store. This will allow the TV to get access to and download popular apps from the store for the TV.
Other features of the TV include Intelligent Dimming that will display better contrasts and deeper blacks on the screen. Streaming apps like Amazon Prime and Netflix will come pre-loaded on the TV too.
There’s no launch date yet for the same, but the TV is expected to pop up in early December. The TV will likely have an aggressive price tag to take on the competition in the segment like the Mi TV, the OnePlus TV and Motorola TV. Flipkart mentioned it is strengthening its presence in the smart TV segment by targeting Tier 2 and Tire 3 cities.
