JAMMU, Nov 23: General Secretary, General Bikram Singh Yaadgar Committee, Gajan Singh, on Saturday observed 56th Death Anniversary of General Bikram Singh.
Gajan Singh said that General Bikram Singh was a renowned personality of Indian Army who martyred in an Air Crash on November 22, 1963 in Poonch Sector while on his mission for planning the secrecy of the Army and accompanied by other four generals.
Gajan Singh said that General Bikram Singh was a dedicated personality who used to visit the army canteens to see the quality of the food being served to the army personnel as he was of the opinion, if the soldiers are strong and health the Nation will strong and healthy. He further said that Genral Bikram Singh rendered his services to the Nation till his death.
Gajan Singh further said that General Bikram Singh has managed to throw the important files out of the plan at the time of Air Crash to prevent vital information of the country from any damage.
Gen. Bikram Singh was people friendly personality who always remained in touch with the civilian societies of all castes and creeds while performing his duties for the Nation, he added.
On concluding the function, Gajan Singh thanked the guests, members and staff of the Municipal Corporation.
