Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Bahu Fort, Jammu celebrated 642nd Parkash Utsav of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj and 128th Birthday Anniversary of Bharat Rattan Baba Saheb Dr. B. R. Ambedkar on 5th May 2019 evening at Shri Guru Ravi Dass Mandir Bahu Fort, Jammu. Shri Shri 108 Swami Gurdip Giri Ji Maharaj delivered spiritual sermons and also spoke on the life and mission of Baba Saheb Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Swami Gurdip Giri Ji Maharaj laid stress on education. He said that three commandments of Baba Saheb has been derived from the Amritvani of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj such as Educate, Agitate and organize. Swami ji said that there is need of more and more schools, colleges and universities for those who have access to education.
Dr. Vijay Shivgotra, President Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha, Bahu Fort, Jammu spoke on this occasion and appealed to people to follow the path shown by Shri Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj and to follow the philosophy of Baba Saheb Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. He also thanked people who participated in the function.
Sham Lal Basson -General Secretary of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Bahu Fort, Jammu and Hon’ble Corporator conducted stage and addressed the gathering. He said that students are target group to teach the philosophy of Ambedkar -Phule-Shahu ji Maharaj. He said that education changes fate lines. It is because of education that Baba Saheb is paid respect throughout world and his birthday is celebrated as World knowledge Day.
More than two thousand people from all walk of life participated in the function and paid tributes.
Shri Madan Jallandhari internationally renowned writer was given Award of Honour on this occasion.
Sh. Uttam Chand, Sewa Ram and Rupesh Kumar Media persons who delicately perform their duties were given awards of honour.
The student of Sri Sai Public School, Bahu Fort, Jammu under the able guidance of Col. (Retd) Mohan Lal ji performed nicely while presenting Aarti and Bheem Vandana items. Col (Retd.) Mohan Lal received award of honour alongwith students.
Sh. Sonu Heer, Sars Bharti and Pooja Bharti renowned singers of J&K State performed and they were given award of honour.

Miss Khushi Thapa, Samridhi Basson, Visharad Kalsi, Shubam Basson, Jatin Kalsi, Saksham, Mahi Basson presented views on life and mission of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj and Bharat Rattan Baba Saheb Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and they were provided awards of honour. Mahatama Munshi and Parshotam Thapa were given award of honour for their valuable contribution towards society.
Sh. Raj Kalsi owner Kasli Tyres Retreading Factory had arranged stalls of Gulab Jamun, Ice Cream, Gol Gappe, Fruit, Burfi and Luddu for all the participants. He had also arranged a big cake and cake cutting ceremony was also performed by Shri Shri 108 Swami Gurdip Giri Ji Maharaj.
Those who worked hard and made this function a great success included Sh.
