82 students of Lovely Higher Secondary School Dansal files RTI on different departments during an awareness program/ Workshop in connection with ongoing campaign launched by Regional Outreach Bureau, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Government of India , Field Outreach Bureau Anantnag at Dansal. The main aim of programe was to make aware students about Right to information which refers to the right of every citizen of the state to access information under the control of Public authorities consistence with public interest.
On the occasion RTI activist Sh. Avinash Razdan acted as Expert guest during his interaction with students he delivered a detailed information regarding RTI and said that the basic objective of RTI is to make our country a democratic in a real sense. He further stated that a citizen has the right to seek information from public authority and obtain information in any form. He talked about the exemptions and disclosures under section 8&9 and schedule II of RTI Act which enumerate the categories of information exempted from disclosure and the name of the intelligence and security which are exempted from the purview of the act.

Sandeep Sharma While presenting vote of thanks said that if effectively implemented RTI can bring openness and transparency between Public authorities and common people enhance help and information so that the citizenary and socio economic development in rural aresa is lifted up
During the workshop students were trained and they typically files RTI to Different departments. moreover registered Troupes of ROB sensitized the audience about various aspects of Right to Information Act. through skits and cultural programmes.
Vikram Uppal I/c Field outreach Bureau Anantnag. in his welcome address enlightened audience about the working and mandate of ROB and said that motive behind arranging this workshop was to create awareness among students about the procedure and importance of Right to Information Act.
