More than 250 needy villagers, including women, children and elderly of Sawani village Ramban were provided free medical treatment and medicines in a daylong Free Medical Camp organized by 84 Bn CRPF, under the aegis of Jammu Sector CRPF.
The Camp was inaugurated by Commandant 84 Bn. N Ranbir Singh in the presence of Assistant Cdt 84 Bn Lakhwinder, R R Meena, Inderjeet Singh, Vinay Singh Panch Sawani, prominent citizen Mohammad Abdul Rasheed, VDC members, locals of the village, elders, Women, Children and representatives of print and electronic media.
Speaking at the function, the Commandant stated that CRPF, with nearly 250 Bn deployed across the length and breadth of the country, is the largest Paramilitary Force.
“The CRPF, entrusted with the responsibilities of Internal Security of the large and diverse country India, is deployed across all the 03 major conflict theatres, viz, J&K, LWE region and NE. CRPF, and actively contributing to the Nation building process and safeguarding the Unity and Integrity of the Nation” he added. He also highlighted the various social outreach programs undertaken by CRPF all over the country to establish better connect between the Force and local populace.
Prominent citizen Vinay Singh, on behalf of the people of Sawani and adjoining villages, expressed his gratitude to 84 Bn CRPF for organizing the first ever Free Medical Camp by any Security Force in this remote area situated approx. 30 km from District Hq Ramban.
The villagers were provided medical treatment by Dr Anu Gorke SMO/DC 84 Bn. The locals were also provided free Medical Treatment and medicines during the camp. Light refreshments were served to the local participants, during the camp.
