The 87th meeting of the Local Board of Administration (LBA) of Sainik School Nagrota was held at the school on 24 April 2018. The meeting was chaired by Major General DS Gill, Chief of Staff, Headquarters, 16 Corps and Chairman LBA, Sainik School Nagrota. Captain A Muthuraman, Principal & Member Secretary apprised the board about the action taken on the points discussed in the earlier meeting and also presented the annual budget of the school for the next financial year. In his address, the Chairman called for improved focus on preparing the cadets in line with the requisites of SSB and expressed confidence that the cadets will do well in the coming years. The meeting was also attended by Ms Suriya Jabeen, KAS, Addl DDC, Mr Charandeep Singh, KAS, Jt Dir (Edn), Mr Mahesh Chander, Financial Advisor, Mr Joginder Kumar Sudan, CEO and Mr Suresh Kumar Khajuria, Parent Member. Shortly after the culmination of the LBA meeting, Investiture Ceremony for the Academic session 2018-19 was held in the school auditorium. The General Officer pipped the Cadet Appointments with epaulets signifying various appointments including House Captains for all four houses namely Chenab, Jhelum, Sindh and Trikuta. Appointments for the current session also include Akash Thakur as School Cadet Adjutant, Chetanya Bhat and Tushant Kumar as Sports Captains and Achyut Gupta as School Cadet Captain. Addressing the gathering, the Chairman has congratulated the Cadet Appointments and emphasised the importance of developing leadership traits to prepare themselves for a challenging career as officers in the defence forces.
