During Navratri festival Jagran committee of Rehari Colony organized an impressive 8th Vishal jagran of “JAI MAA CHANDI” at Rehari Colony near Police Post Sarwal last night to promotion of world peace and for prosperity of Mankind.
SDPO West DySP Amit Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion. Deepak and Akshay along with their committee members and other dignitaries lighted the Akhand jyoti and performed the Aarti pooja.
Hundreds of devotees including residents of Rehari Colony and Sarwal participated in the jagran to seek the blessings of Goddess Maa Chandi. Artists enthralled the devotees with wide range of bhajans and songs. Renowned singers Surinder Manhas, Sohit Sufi, Ms Rajni Sharma and other artists enthralled the audience with their bhajans and Mata bhaints. ‘Maa ka Bhawan’ and stage was decorated with flowers and colourful lights besides proper management of lighting were made at the venue.
On the occasion bhandara was also organized besides performing kanya pujan. Meanwhile police has made an elaborate security arrangements to avoid any untoward incidents. In-Charge Police Post Sarwal, Sub-Inspector Vishav Pratap Singh Katoch personally supervise the security arrangements at jagran venue.
