The Semi Final of Navratra Festival’s All India Devotional Song Competition organized jointly by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, J&K Tourism in association with Shraddha Mh One & J&K Bank with the active support of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Speciality Hospital, Surya Milk ,Pure Roots Herbal,Nidesh Builders Pvt.Ltd.Jammu, Divinity, ,Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM,PHDCCI,Yog Ashram Trust ,District Administration and the local host Community,started today at Yog Ashram Complex in the evening with the litting of a traditional lamp by Yog Acharya Swami Yoga Nand ji Maharaj , Former winner Anjusha & Sonali Dogra in presence of Chairman Devotional Song Committee & President Hotel Association Katra Rakesh Wazir, Suresh Gautam,Virender Kesar, Ajay Sharma,Gopal Singh,Subash Chander etc.
In this Semi Final, out of 14 participants who qualified for it through preliminary rounds of competitions,quarter final,and then this Semi Final 09 participants qualified for the Mega Final to be held at Yog Ashram Complex Katra including Sukhjinder Jit from Amritsar,Kripal & Rashpal Brothers from Punjab, Kaustubh from Rajasthan ,Pranabha Sharma from Jammu, Malkit Kadri from Punjab, Anmol Raj from Punjab , Khushi Shubh from Chamba H.P , Mahinder Soni from Jammu, Lalit Bhardwaj from Jammu and 03 contestants were kept in the waiting list namely Sushmita from Jammu , Saisha Gupta from Jammu & Aditya Kumar from Jammu and the winner will be awarded with Gold worth Rs 03 Lakh besides recording contract with Venus Records & Tapes Ltd. for winner and likewise the 2nd prize would be 1 lac and the third prize is 50,000/- and would be stars of tomorrow.
The Semi Final was adjudged by the panels of experts in music including Prof. Anupama Sharma, Lecturer Music Govt.Degree College Parade, & Performed abroad & in India, USA, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela & Bangladesh etc. , Dr. Surinder Sharma Head of the department Govt. Degree College Sanjoli Himachal Pradesh , Dr. C.L Verma Ex. Chairman Post Graduate University of Himachal Pardesh whereas former Winners Anjusha & Sonali Dogra were there for their expert comments.
Besides giving their valuable comments with regard to the participants the powerful live presentations of Anjusha and Sonali Dogra mesmerized the audience and every one was seen dancing and clapping on their presentations and as per format of the competition the presentation of Anjusha started after 7 participants had sung and Sonali Dogra’s presentation was there in the end and it is worth while to mention here that both singers started their careed after winning this competition.
The proceeding of Competition was conducted by Sh.Rakesh Wazir who is also the Chairman of the said Competition who while speaking on the occasion said that besides the performances of the singers who have reached the finals.
The people will see the live performances Renowned Bollywood Singer Ms.Pawani Pandey who has done play back singing for Raees,Barelley Ki Barfi,Wel Come Back,Phallouri, Blackmail etc. and is known for her famous songs like Laila Ho Laial Aisi Main Laila ( Shah Rukh starrer Raees) etc.,Mr.Balkar Sidhu famous Punjabi Singer ( Munda apne Vyah de Vich Nachda Phire )fame.
