AAROH Ngo established Sports Room & conducted Menstrual Hygiene Management Workshop in Govt. School

ARADHANA – a ray of hope is a Jammu based NGO working for the objectives of providing basic elementary education to underprivileged children and educational means to free themselves from the chain of illiteracy and poverty. In addition team also conducts many other ancillary activities and programs to ensure the overall grooming and multidimensional development of children inducted in our programs to empower them to make our society a better place to live.
Continuing the chain of good work Aaroh conducted a menstrual hygiene workshop at Govt. middle school Dhanore Rajouri. During this workshop team covered 6 aspects namely Growing up,Menstrual hygiene ,Physiology of menstruation,Nutrition, Myths related to menstruation, Preparing for periods and importance of sanitary napkins to educate girls about Menstrual Hygiene.Team successfully conducted this workshop followed by distribution of free sanitary napkins among the girls.
Also Team established a sports room in the school to encourage kids for the physical activities. Sports room contains all the basic indoor and outdoor sports equipment. Faculty & students of Govt. School thanked team Aradhana-A ray of hope for coming to Rajouri and for all these generous efforts they made for improving the education system in school.Members who accompanied the team from Jammu to Rajouri were Avinash bogal,Gurdeep Wazir,Rozy Sharma, Suhani singh, Sheetal & chairperson Monika Mitter.
