A grand “Parents Worship programme” (Matra Pitra Pujan) was celebrated on the concluding day of Shrimad Bhagwat Saptah Katha at Rajouri. The event was organized by Akhil Bhartiya Dharam Prachar Sewa Samiti, Jammu Kashmir. People from various walks of life attended the event with great fervor and deity. Swami Phool Krishan ji Maharaj was the Chief Guest whereas Acharya Vishal Sharma, Inder Prakash and Vishal Bhargav ji was also present and witnessed the function. The function started at 12:00 pm with vedic mantras. Thereafter sermons from. Swami Phool Krishan ji Maharaj, Acharya Vishal Sharma and Sunil Sharma. Children from all age group i.e from younger to elder ones worshipping their parents and showing their respect and gratitude towards them. Speaking on the occasion Phool Krishan ji Maharaj expressed that Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta is the need of the hour and stressed upon daily reading of Shrimad bhagwad Gita by all for overall self development and added that greatest quality of Bhagwad Geeta is that it prompts an individual to think, to take fair and right decision, to look at life differently and refreshingly without surrendering one’s identity. Shastriji lauded the efforts of the Akhil Bhartiya Dharam Prachar Sewa Samiti for organizing event as Mahotsav.
The National Co-ordinator of the Samiti Sh. Sunil Sharma informed that over the years, many initiatives have been launched by Akhil Bhartiya Dharam Prachar Sewa Samiti to expand the knowledge of the sacred scripture- Bhagwat Gita which can infuse the feelings of love for humanity and God in every body. For the last six years Akhil Bhartiya Dharam Prachar Sewa Samiti launched one more service towards society i.e. free distribution of this Granth ( not book) in the society to spread the message of Lord Krishna on the directions and teachings of Bhrahmgyani Guruji.
Acharya Sh. Vishal Bhargav Ji expressed his views and said that this is the country of cultural values and evils of western countries shall be culminated through the practices like “Parents worship day”. Akhil Bhartiya Dharam Prachar Sewa Samiti, Jammu Kashmir under the aegis of Pujya Sant Shri Asharam ji has given a call to celebrate “Parents Worship Day”.
After sermons of saints followed parents worship function in which children worshipped their parents as per vedic ways applied tilak to their forehead and circum ambulated them. Parents too blessed their children for progress in every aspect in their lives. Joint Secretary of the Akhil Bhartiya Dharam Prachar Sewa Samiti,, Jammu Kashmir S expressed gratitude to all presented there and said that if child pays obeisance to the parents rowing them to be equal to god as per scriptural ordinance and getting blessed will never fail in any part of his /her life and also the evils of valentine day can be controlled and thrown out of the country. Sh. Rakesh ji, Prachar Pramukh of Akhil Bhartiya Dharam Prachar Sewa Samiti,, Jammu Kashmir at the end thanked the Saints, VIPs and volunteers of Samiti and those attending the function adding that such practice will continue in coming days also.
Among others who attended todays ceremony namely Rita Rani, Sheela Devi, Ashok Kumar, Adeesh Kumar, Neelam Sharma, Shashi Sharma, Ganesh Kumar, Chanchala Devi, Prithvi Raj ji, Shakuntla Devi etc.
