ABVP activists burn the effigy of VC Cluster University demands to postpone UG Semester exams

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Jammu Mahanagar today organises a strong protest demonstration against the Cluster University administration demanding to postpone the date sheet of all semesters of UG courses.
Students from various colleges of Cluster University under the leadership of City Secretary Parteek Raina, Akash Bhagat from MAM College, Nikhil Parihar from GGM Science College, Sunaksh Gupta from Commerce College and Yashaswani Rajwal from Gandhi Nagar College gathers outside the MAM College and after that march towards Divisional Commissioner Office.

While addressing the students Parteek Raina said that we have approached VC office various times but they always shows lack of concern. He said that according to the norms of Semester system minimum 90 lectures must be delivered for each subject but this semester system due to the unforeseen circumstances created by the government post abrogation of Article 370 and the college professors were also involved in other government related activities and the number of lectures which were delivered are about 30-35 lectures only.
ABVP Joint Secretary Sunaksh Gupta said that cluster university has announced the date of external exams without fulfilling the norms and guidelines of semester system and it is totally the violation of UGC guidelines due to which students are facing extreme stress.
ABVP MAM College President Akash Bhagat said that university administration is playing with the future of students because the Syllabus is not completed and they are taking exams without caring about students.
ABVP demands a kind intervention of concerned authorities on the genuine issue of students and demands to postpone the exam till the minimum lectures guidelines are not fulfilled by the University. Parteek warns the administration that if our demands are not solved immediately then ABVP will launch a strong agitation and a Massive Rally on students issues in coming days.
Others who remain present in protest are Rahul Sharma, Tandeep Singh, Sajan Kumar, Shubham, Gourav Sharma, Piyush Raina, Rajit Rajput, Sumedha Arora and others.
