Chief justice takes stock of functioning of different Courts in District Baramulla
BARAMULLA, SEPTEMBER, 15: Chief Justice High Court of Jammu and Kashmir, Justice Gita Mittal accompanied by Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey, Administrative Judge for District Baramulla today paid visit to Baramulla district and took stock of functioning of different courts including court of sub judge Pattan and Uri as well as Munsif court Boniyar.
They reviewed various facilities available for litigants, lawyers, functioning of the lower courts and overall infrastructure. The Chief Justice while offering patient hearing to the demands of the Bar association Baramulla promised postings of adequate number of Judges for district courts and other requisite facilities in the interest of the general public. Expressing her pleasure at facilities available at the district court complex, the Chief Justice stressed for adding more amenities in order to improve the overall justice delivery system.
Furthermore, the Chief Justice stressed on the need to encourage disposal of pending cases through alternative dispute redressal mechanism where both parties may have win-win situation without wasting time and money if their dispute is resolved amicably. The Hon’ble Chief Justice also stressed to ensure speedy, inexpensive and timely disposal of pending cases for litigating public by judiciary.
Chief Justice was accompanied by Principal Secretary to Chief Justice Jawad Ahmad, Joint Registrar High Court of J&K Farooq Ahmad Bhat, Principal District and Sessions Judge Baramulla Rajesh Sekhri, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash and other civil and judicial officers.
