Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Kishtwar, Phulail Singh today visited Model Panchayat Chatroo Lower A of Block Inderwal to review progress and ensure effective implementation of District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Rajesh Kumar Shavan’s initiative to develop 13 Gram Panchayats as Model Panchayats across the district. This attempt is to achieve saturation of all scheme indicators, benefiting the local community.
During the visit, Phulail Singh met with the Village Monitoring Committee of Model Panchayat Chatroo Lower A, local residents and Ex-PRIs discussed Panchayat’s progress and challenges. Block Development Officer (BDO) Inderwal, Hitesh Kumar and other RDD officials were also present.
The BDO was directed to identify the gaps and submit proposals for rainwater harvesting, plantation, PMAY-G, IHHLs under SBM-G. The BDO was further directed to ensure cleanliness of the panchayat and attain grey water management with the help of local population.
The ACD Kishtwar also inaugurated the Unnati training program for Job card holders who have completed 100 days of work under MGNREGA. This program will enhance rural youth’s skills and employability. Director RSETI, RSETI staff and RDD staff were also in attendance.
