To commemorate the birth anniversaries of the first Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru and the first education Minister of Free IndiaMaulana Abu-Ul-Kalam Azad, Adbi Kunj organized a special literary and cultural meet here today.
The members of Adbi Kunj also paid tributes to Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru and Mulana Abul Kalam Azad. On the occasion, the speakers threw detailed light on the life history of the both the leaders and also highlighted their contribution towards the development of the society. In the creative literary (PROSE) session, the poets presented their stories which includes “Man” a Gojri Short story by Mohammad Sarwar Chohan Habeeb, “Vishav- Karma- Aur- Diwali-And-Jammu”, presented by Aarash Dalmotra specially on the birthday of “Lord of Shilp” Vishav Karma, Urdu short story “Main Zinda Hoon” read out by Sham Talib. In the opening of composite poetic round up, Darmesh Nargotra a veteran singer specially sang two Urdu Ghazals of noted Urdu poets 1. Aap-Hi-Ki-Tarha-Aap-Hi-Ki-Tarna-Dil-Hai-Pehlo-Main-Ajnabi-Ki-Tarha” of Sham Talib 2. Mere-Nasib-Ka-Likha-Badal-Bhi-Sakta-Tha-Who-Chzhta-To-Mere-Sath-Chal-Bhi-Sakta-Tha” by noted Urdu poet Sayal Jamwali.
The poets who participated in the meet includes Aarash Dalmotra, Darmesh Nargotra, Sarwar Chohan Habeeb, Masoom Kishtwari, K.R.Salgotra, Sanjeev Kumar, S.K. Gupta, Abdul Jabar Butt, Dr. Karan Gupt, Puran Singh, Uttam Singh Rahi, Rajeev Kumar, Anil Kumar and Sham Talib. The vote of thanks was presented by Aarash Dalmotra Chairman of Adbi Kunj J&K, Jammu.
