Adbi Kunj remembers Sir Syed Ahmed on birth anniversary

Adbi Kunj organized a literary meet to commemorate the birth anniversary of great educationalist Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, here today. The meet was presided over by a renowned Urdu poet S. Malik Singh Wafa while another renowned Dogri poet and journalist Ram Pal Dogra Pali was the guest of honour whereas famous Gojri poet M. Sarwar Chohan Habeeb was conducted the proceeding of the meet. On the occasion Sham Talib President of the Adbi Kunj, Aarash Dalmotra Chairman and other personalities of the meet emotionally described Sir Syed Ahmed Khan not only a towering writer, but also a social reformer and multi-dimentional personality who through his ideas brought a revolution in the Muslim society of his time, who established a collage which later on became a Muslim University (Aligarh Muslim University). In the creative session, (prose) S. Malik Singh Wafa presented a page on his life story Balandar (Urdu) and Sham Talib read out an Urdu write up on a famous Urdu article “Taosab” of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan. During the meet, a composite poetic session was also held. Poets recited their different kalams, they also recited special poems on Sir Syed Ahmed Khan whereas singer Chaman Sagoch specially sang a ‘Mata-Di-Bhaint” on the occasion of holy navratra festival. Poets who participated in the meet include Aarash Dalmotra, Ram Pal Dogra Pali, S. Malik Singh Wafa, M. Sarwar Chohan Habeeb, Abdul Jabbar Butt, Bishan Dass Khak, Sanjeev Kumar, Raj Kamal, Jaitender Basan, Chaman Sagoch, Rajeev Kumar, Maharaj Krishan, Kalo Ram Salgotra and Sham Talib.
