POONCH, SEPT 19:
Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Poonch Pankaj Magotra along with Tehsildar Mandi Ashfaq Hussain, DSEO Javid Ahmed, BMO Mandi, PWD AEEs, Namberdar and Ex-Sarpanch today visited Arai, Chikribann and Base Camp Jabbi Toti.
During the tour, the team interacted with locals, listened to their grievances and made them aware about the government schemes and their benefits. The ADDC stressed upon effective implementation of welfare initiatives for the betterment of the community.
The ADDC along with the officers also visited seasonal schools, where they interacted with students and teachers to assess facilities and quality of education. He directed the seasonal teachers to impart education with dedication and motivate children towards learning. A pledge on Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan was also taken with students to spread awareness against drug abuse.
Later, the ADDC, accompanied by the Tourism Department officials, inspected a languishing project at Chikribann and reviewed the tourism potential at Base Camp Jabbi Toti. He emphasised the need to promote tourism, strengthen infrastructure, ensure better education facilities and enhance public awareness about government programs for holistic development of the area.
