On 27th May 2024, the NCC Training Academy in Nagrota had the honour of hosting Maj Gen Rajesh Kumar Sachdeva, ADG NCC Dte JK&L, for an inspection, review, and motivational visit. This visit coincided with the ongoing Annual Training Camp of the 5th Jammu & Kashmir NCC Battalion of Jammu Group, where 500 NCC cadets from Poonch and Rajouri District are currently undergoing rigorous training.
Maj Gen Rajesh Kumar Sachdeva’s visit carried immense significance, reflecting the commitment of the NCC Directorate towards fostering leadership, discipline, and patriotism among the youth of Jammu & Kashmir. His presence provided an opportunity for the cadets to listen to the life lessons personally from the General officer who elucidated them with examples which the cadets could relate to their life easily. ADG emphasised on the habbit building at home as well as in the school to achieve success. The exceptional qualities of character and competence through involvement of Head and Heart were also focused upon. His inspiring words served to instill a sense of pride and determination among the young cadets, reinforcing their commitment to serving the nation with utmost dedication and integrity. The General Officer, also interacted closely with the participating cadets in IDSSC 2024. He guided them to be focused, select goals/targets and must have interesting competitions to keep themselves motivated.
During the visit, Maj Gen Rajesh Kumar Sachdeva conducted a thorough inspection of the facilities, training infrastructure and further improvements in the upcoming years for a better cook house. His keen observations and valuable insights will undoubtedly contribute to further enhancing the training standards and effectiveness of the NCC Training Academy Nagrota.
The Annual Training Camp of the 5 Jammu & Kashmir NCC Battalion serves as a platform for honing the leadership skills, fostering camaraderie, character, discipline and promoting the spirit of service among the cadets. Maj Gen Rajesh Kumar Sachdeva’s visit further enriched this experience, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of all present.
