Advisor Ganai meets public deputations in Jammu

Jammu, Dec 23:
Advisor to the Governor, Khurshid Ahmed Ganai Sunday convened a public outreach programme under the aegis of Governor’s Grievance Cell where he met several public delegations and individuals who apprised him about their issues, grievances and demands. Over 20 delegations and scores of individuals from various districts of Jammu Division apprised the Advisor of their grievances and sought his intervention in ensuring outcome-based redressal. A delegation of Development Committee Latti from Udhampur informed the advisor about lack of basic amenities in their respective areas which are resulting in lot of inconveniences to the common masses. The delegation demanded for up-gradation of Udhampur-Latti-Dudu road, establishment of Government Degree College, vocational institute and  Munsiff Court at Latti, Inclusion of Latti-Dudu-Basantgarh in Katra-Udhampur-Samba-Jammu tourist circuits, creation of posts in High School Sehwl, up-gradation of schools, construction of road at village Sira to Garhi, construction of water tanks, opening of new dispensary at Panchayat Sullah and many others. Inhabitants of villages Mallan, Dessa from Doda projected the issues including up-gradation of Government Upper Primary School, Sheenkhely to High School, Lower High School, Mallan to Higher Secondary Level. A deputation of Panjgarian from Nagrota demanded for construction of bridge on Balini Nallah. A delegation of General Line Teachers’ Forum met the Advisor and apprised him about various issues confronting the teaching community which mainly includes inclusion of names of Laboratory Assistants in the Promotion list of teachers be issued, grant of charge allowance to Lab Assistants. A delegation of Swaran Vihar Bantalab raises issues related to Transport and Cooperative Departments. A deputation of JK Print Media Welfare Association urged for issuance of adequate advertisements to small and medium circulation to the Jammu based newspapers, special concession to the journalists and its working staff in Railways and civil aviation, government residential accommodation to the newspapers owners and editors and working staff on rent basis. The representatives of All J&K Youth Federation  demanded for double laning of Kalakote-Siot road, up-gradation of Govt High School Tatapani to Higher Secondary level, Middle School Pnjah to High School level, consideration of Tatapani as pilgrim tourist spot and  veterinary facilities at Panjah. A deputation of Gool-Arnas from Ramban and Reasi put-forth its demands regarding establishment of women degree college at Gool, establishment of new Anganwari Centres.
,  creation of new Veterinary centres, early disposal of old age and handicapped pension cases, up-gradation of schools atGool, Dharama, Gagra, Chachwah, Bassa,Partmulla, Thatharka, Mangaloki, Sangaldan, Maswa, Brala, Seripura and many others.
Another deputation of J&K Rural Welfare Institution urges for payment of pending wages to the crèche workers under National Crèche Scheme.
Jammu and Kashmir College Academic Arrangement Lecturers Association demanded for regularization of Lecturers, Teaching Assistants, working on academic arrangement in government. Similarly, all consolidated casual labours of Government Polytechnic College for Women urged for regularization of their services.
Several other delegations and individuals raised issues about their respective areas and demanded timely redressal of their grievances.
The Advisor gave a patient hearing to all the delegations and assured them that their grievances and demands will be looked into for early redressal. He directed the officers for prompt action on the issues projected by the deputations.
Ganai asked government functionaries to conduct regular field visits to see the status of implementation of the programs and get the feedback. He said that they should also ensure follow-up on the directions being given to them for improvement of service delivery on the ground.
