After District Development Council (DDC) elections, Jammu and Kashmir BJP President Ravinder Raina on Saturday held the first interaction meeting with its members and party workers at Srinagar.
On the occasion, Ravinder Raina boosted the morale of the party candidates who took part actively in DDC elections and appreciated them for their dedication towards society. The winning candidates were facilitated by the party president and other senior leaders while the morale of losing candidate were boosted. “You are eyes and ears of the party in Kashmir and there is need to work more towards vibrant society,” he said.
Raina said previous government regimes failed to provide a platform to Kashmiri youth and due to which they were alienated from the mainstream. “They wanted never to hold DDC elections in Kashmir as they were always behind the power and chair. Another reason behind this was that poor people were neglected by their wrong policies,” he said. Raina said in the past 70 years the local politicians had kept youth in darkness and left them to suffer. They made properties out of the blood of people in Jammu and Kashmir, he said.
On the occasion, UT General Secretary, (Org.) Ashok Koul said the politicians were misleading people by fake narratives of Pakistan and other propagandas. Now people are aware of their rights and they are getting benefited from the central policies of the central government, he said.
“We are committed to peace and development and will have zero tolerance against the corruption in the Jammu and Kashmir and will set an example of good governance,” Koul said.

Addressing the workers, party’s State Vice President Sofi Yousuf said it is time for the change and BJP will host its flag in each part of Kashmir.

“People have accepted our leaders with open hearts and the party will continue to respect people’s faith and dedication,” he said.

Party’ Kashmir Media In-charge, Manzoor Bhat also appreciated the DDC candidates for gaining the ground in JK and urged them to work hard for the betterment of society.

“Young people should come forward for the change and BJP has given a ray of hope to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Our doors are open for them,” he said.
