After Long Winter Spell, Petroleum products Supply Resumes for Ladakh

After winter pause for over 6 months and closing of on road supplies of essential and petroleum products to Ladakh region from other parts of the country, today first fleet of oil tankers including ATF and Kerosene tankers left for Ladakh from Jammu IOC depot, Narwal Jammu.
The flag off ceremony of Tankers’ fleet was observed in presence of senior officers of the Government oil companies, representatives of the truck tanker drivers union and several other prominent transporters.
The season’s first fleet of tankers and trucks carrying essential items is given a ceremonious farewell with traditional pooja and Parsad by Oil Tankers Drivers and Cleaners Union, OTDCU.
The officers lauded the dedication of the drivers who braving all odds ensure timely supply of essential products to Army and other civil organizations.
Officers of the IOCL and S Ranjit Singh Raina, President of the union and Senior members also addressed the gathering.
Other prominent people who were present on this occassion include
Ranjeet Kumar Sr. Depot Manager and Mr. Yashpal ji from IOCL and Ramesh Kumar, Vice President,
Devinder Singh, General Secretary, Bikesh Kumar Vicky, Secretary, Davinder Singh, Surinder Singh, Sohan Singh and Rajinder Singh executive members of the drivers and cleaners union.
