RAMBAN, MAR 22:
An Agriculture Exhibition cum Kissan Mela was held here today which witnessed participation of a large number of locals and farmers.
Companies dealing in agricultural implements, pesticides and insecticides had also exhibited their products at the Mela.
District Development Commissioner (DDC), Showkat Aijaz Bhat inaugurated the event organised by the Department of Agriculture under Agriculture Technology Management Agency Scheme.
SSP, Anita Sharma, was the guest of honour on the occasion whereas ADDC, Nawab Din, and Chief Agriculture Officer, Alyas Akhter Guttu, several agriculture experts, technocrats, sarpanchs and panchs also attended the function.
The DDC along with other officers had a round of the exhibition stalls established by the Horticulture, Apiculture, Sericulture, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Employment and Counselling Centre Ramban.
He also interacted with concerned officers and farmers who had displayed their farm products which included vegetables, cereals, pulses and mushroom.
Later, DDC, SSP along with other guests distributed the prizes among the farmers whose products were adjudged best.
