Coronavirus pandemic has a great impact on Bollywood and other film industries. Several Bollywood films` release dates have been halted due to high strain of COVID-19 in the different states of India. A few states have implemented COVID-19 guidelines with the 50% occupancy rule into effect again in cinema halls.But still, the makers of Thalaivi have cleared that the film release date won’t be shifted amid the pandemic, unlike other Bollywood films. Now, after the official announcement, confident Kangana Ranaut takes a dig at Karan Johar and Aditya Chopra while calling them Bollywood Ke Thekedaars and slammed them for not releasing their production ventures in the cinema halls.In her recent tweet, she said that her 100 crore budget film Thalaivi will save Bollywood and her film will surely write history. She tweeted, ”They did everything to throw me out of the industry, ganged up, harassed me, today Bollywood ke thekedaars Karan Johar and Aadiya Chopra are hiding, all big heroes are hiding but Kangana Ranaut with her team coming with 100cr budget film to save Bollywood. Directed by A. L. Vijay and produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shailesh R Singh, ‘Thalaivi’ is a multilingual Indian biographical film based on the life of J. Jayalalithaa, a late politician and film actress who served six terms as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, with Kangana Ranaut playing the role of Jayalalithaa. Apart from her, Arvind Swamy will don the role of MGR. This film is made simultaneously in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil. The film will hit the cinema halls on April 23, 2021.
