All India Bank Officers Confederation (AIBOC), the largest trade union of supervisory cadre the world over with a membership of more than 3.20 lacs ,has launched a nationwide agitation in support of their demands which culminated in a one day strike today the 21th Dec 2018.
The cold shoulder attitude of the IBA& Government of India combine has forced the officers working in the banking sector in the country to launched an agitation in support of their demands culmination in today’s ONE DAY NATION-WIDE STRIKE ACTION, forcing down shutters on all branches/offices of public sector banks, old generation private sector banks& Regional rural Banks. Work in the Banking industry remained completely paralyzed throughout the country as the strike was total.
In Jammu City, the striking officers held a massive demonstration at SBI, zonal office, Rail Head Complex under the banner of AIBOC, J&K State unit .The demonstration was attended by a large gathering of officers from various PSU banks led by Satish Khajuria, State President and Suresh Wali, State secretary.
