Ajay Sharma of Udhampur and wrestler Bhalla of Delhi shared the 45th Muttal Dangal after the 27-minute long main bout ended in a draw. Both these wresters shared the Rs 25,000 prize money.
Dangal was organized by Muttal Dangal Committee in association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of president Muttal Dangal Committee, Sarpanch Makhan Lal, Naib Sarpanch Sukhdev Singh and social activist, Chanay Ram.
Former president and Councilor Municipal Committee Katra, Ambrish Magotra (Ashu) was the chief guest on the occasion who distributed cash prizes. Former Joint Secretary of J&K State Sports Council (JKSSC), Shiv Kumar Sharma presided.
Among other prominent present were vice president of the Association, Virender Sharma, Chanay Ram, Sarpanchs Romesh Chander, Pritam Singh, Daleep Sharma, Satish Kumar, Shiv Dev Singh, Mohd Sadiq, Surinder Bhagat, Thakur Dass, Om Parkash Verma, Lochan Singh, Chuni Lal (S.O), Gandarb Chand and police officer Tikari Balram Sharma.
In all, 47 bouts were played in this day-long dangal. Second main bout went to Suresh of Pathankot who beat Babba of Domana while Yudhbir of Delhi secured the third bout outplaying Muneer of Nagrota.
In fourth bout, Kaka of RS Pura outplayed Dillar Khan of J&K Police while Amir Khan of Nargada beat Kala of Himachal Pardesh for the fifth bout.
Muttal Dangal Committee members and technical officials who helped for the conduct of this dangal were Chanay Ram (Chairman), Sarpanch Makhan Lal, Munshi Ram Lakri, Darshan Singh, Chuni Lal (S.O), Krishan Kumar, Lal Chand, Bhag Hussian, Maqboal Ahmed, Rakesh Kumar (Referee), Romesh Kumar (Referee), Sukhdev Singh (Naib Sarpanch), Gulam Mohd. (Kaku), Sham Lal, Mohd. Alam, Om Parkash Verma, Lochan Singh and Murli Dhar (Munna).
