Akali Kour Singh Club Digiana and Peaks XI today won their respective matches to move into the next round of the ongoing Ist Chaar Sahibzade Hockey Tournament, organised by Akali Kour Singh Sports Club at K K Hakhu Stadium, here.
In the first match, Akali Kour Singh Digiana blanked Young Khalsa Club Gole Gujral 3-0. Tanish (5th), Harsh Vaid (9th) and Sikandar (32nd) were the scorers.
Meanwhile, Peaks XI underwent a close contest against Hiranagar Club before they emerged winners 3-2. Pardeep Singh (6th and 31st) and Mohd Shahid (38th) were the scorers. From Hiranagar, Kanha (45th) and Sandeep (48th) scored the goals.
Ranjeet Singh, Secretary Services Selection Board and Dr Shevaingi Kotwal were special guests in today’s matches.
FIXTURE: AKS shall meet Aman Khalsa Lachipura at 12 noon; Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Club Poonch to meet Baba Deep Singh Gole Gujral at 1.30 pm; Khalsa Club to take on Harmanan Hockey Club at 2.30 pm tomorrow.
