All India Devotional Song Competition as a part of Navratra Festival 2018 was inagurated today at Yog Ashram Complex in the evening by litting of a traditional lamp by Chief Guest Chairman & CEO J&K Bank Parvez Ahmed in presence of Director J&K Bank D.K Pandoh, Chairman Devotional Song Committee & President Hotel Association Katra, Rakesh Wazir, Former Director of J&K Bank and Chairman PHDCCI Vikrant Kuthiala ,Yog Acharya Swami Yoga Nand ji Maharaj ,Celebrity singer Diljaan, SDM Katra Ashok Sharma, CRPF Commandant Jitender Gupta,CEO Katra Development Authority jagdish Mehra,Addl.SP Naresh Singh, DSP Katra Vivek Shekher, Shyam Lal Kesar,Virender Kesar etc.
While speaking on the occasion he said that Tourism is the back bone of our state and if potential of Vaishnodevi ji pilgrimage is properly tapped and stay of Yatries is increased by tempting them to visit places of Tourist intrest around Katra like Patni top, Sanasar, Bhaderwah,Shiv Khori and other parts of state it can boost the economy of the state in a big way and can provide lively hood to lacs & lacs of people.
Whereas in first day of the preliminary round of competition Sushmita from Jammu took 1st position & Khushi Shubh from Chamba Himachal Pradesh got 2nd position and 3rd position was held by Sumit Bhalla from Jammu & Mohinder Soni from Jammu, among the 10 auditioned participants in which 04 participants were from outside state & 06 participants were from within state and were provided with the cash prizes of 10,000/- , 5,000/-and 3,000/- respectively by the Chief Guest and he while appreciating the performance of the participant singers additionally announced the cash reward of Rs.11,000/- to each participant singer who qualified today’s audition and performed on the satge.
The Devotional Song Competition was adjudged by the panels of experts in music including Dr.Usha Bhagati Ex.HOD Music many degree colleges including P.G.M.A.M College Jammu, Prof. Parveen Sabharwal Professor Music Department in Many Colleges ,Dr. Surinder Sharma Head of the department Govt. Degree College Sanjoli Himachal Pradesh.,celebraty singer Diljan.
Famous celebrity singer Diljaan known for his famous songs like Allah hoo , Mera Dil, Faisla etc. who had come all the way for performing in the event enthralled the audience with his melodious songs and the total environment of the venue became spiritual and the people were seen dancing on his tunes.
The proceeding of Competition was conducted by Sh.Rakesh Wazir who is also the Chairman of the said Competition who while speaking on the occasion said that famous singers outside state lined up for their guest performances on the stage include Masha Ali today, Dr.Sumangal Arora on 12thOct., Manu Vandanaand on 13th Oct.Sunil Mattu14th Oct. ,Amrinder Bobby on 15th Oct.,Pawni Panday on 16th Oct. and Balkar Sidhu & Pawni Pandey on 17th Oct. and live telecast of the event is available on Shradha Mh one from 9 PM onwards daily.
The All India Devotional Song Competition being organized by SMVD Shrine Board and Deptt. of J&K Tourism, J&K Bank,Shraddha Mh One with active support of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Specialist Hospital, Surya Milk ,Pure Roots Herbal, , Nidesh Builders Pvt.Ltd.Jammu, Divinity, ,Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM ,PHDCCI,Yog Ashram Trust ,District Administration and the local host Community.
While speaking on the occasion Parvez Ahmed further said that this competition where on one hand has provided plat form to the budding singers and on other hand has proved to be major facilitator for increasing the Tourism in the state.
In live conversation with the host of the competition Rakesh Wazir which is the format of the competition Mr.Parvez Ahmed said that their branches at Bhawan Vaishnodevi and enroute are made to function 24 hours basis is in fact are kept with the intention of providing more facilities to the pilgrims and not with commercial angel and lot many other initiatives are done by the bank like providing of Amarnath Yatra slips to the people through branches of the bank etc., and when his attention was drawn that why same mechanism be not adopted with Vaishnodevi pilgrimage he said that bank will be more than happy if this proposal gets through because it will facilitate the Yatra even more.
