The prestigious All India IPSC Volleyball U-19 Championship hosted by Vidya Niketan Birla Public School Pilani, Rajasthan, culminated in an exhilarating display of talent and sportsmanship from April 27 to April 29, 2024. The tournament saw the participation of nine elite public schools from across the country, including Sainik School Nagrota, Sainik School Kunjpura, and Birla Public School Pilani, among others. In a fiercely contested competition, Sainik School Nagrota emerged as the dominant force, showcasing exceptional skill and determination throughout the tournament. The team’s journey to victory was marked by a series of impressive performances, including victories against formidable opponents such as BRCM Gyankunj Haryana, Punjab Public School Nabha, Sainik School Kunjpura, Emerald Heights International School and DPS Mathura Road. In the nail-biting finals, Sainik School Nagrota faced off against tough competition from the hosts, Birla Public School Pilani. However, with sheer grit and determination, Sainik School Nagrota secured a resounding victory in straight sets with the scoreboard flashing 25-22, 27-25, 25-17 and lifted the Championship Trophy in style. The Grand Finale of the tournament was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Sh. Pushpendra Singh Rathore, RPS, Additional Superintendent of Police, Jhunjhunu, who presided over the event. Sh. Rathore presented the trophy and medals to the deserving winners, commending them for their outstanding performance on the grand stage. Capt (IN) AK Desai, Principal of Sainik School Nagrota, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the team, acknowledging their superlative performance and remarkable achievement in the tournament.
