Press conference is organised by 10+2 Contractual Lecturers who are on Hunger strike at Press club (Exhibition Ground) w.e.f Feb 14, 2017. While addressing media person Mr. Arun Bakhshi President of the Association said that we have been sitting on hunger strike for the last 743 days But except assurances no concrete steps have been taken by the govt till date. Mr. Bakhshi also informed the media that he had two three meetings with the Hon’ble Governor j&k state who while responding assured categorically that he will regularise the services of 10+2 contractual lecturers definitely. it is pertinent to mention here that on the one hand he Hon’ble Governor is promising to regularize our services and on the other hand secretary to Govt school education department vide govt order no. 78 Edu of 2019, Dated:- 22-02-2019.has issued some instructions to DSEJ/DSEK to notify the posts and make fresh selections at divisional level now which is a foul play with the careers of contractual lecturers who have already been rendering their services in the department previously and with those who have rendered their services for a longer time and also whose services stands discontinued after serving the department for last so many years. it is very strange to say that if posts are to be notify then why govt is befooling we people by getting our details again and again as they have sort our details recently vide govt order no. Edu/v/28/2017-I, Dated:- 12-02-2019 further endorsed by the directors to the CEOs on Dated 23-02-2019.
