All J&K NGO’s Federation alleges discrimination

All J&K NGO’s Federation, chairman, Vinay K. Katal, while addressing a press conference informed that All Non-Government Organisations /Civil Society Organisation have to compulsory register in NITI Aayog website. More than 3000 CSO’s are registered in Jammu/ Ladakh regions doing Yoeman’s services to the grass root level to contribute towards social and economic developments of both the regions, but the discriminatory attitude of State Government is continuously adopting the old practice there ignoring Jammu/ Ladakh based organization, he alleged
He further said that the funds are being given to the outside organizations, who sublet work to the local untrained persons, thereby delivering sub-stand works gauged by various central sponsored schemes in the state.
The much needed demand of the CSO’s is to construct NGO’s Bhawan for further strengthening and better coordination with government as well private sector, he added.
The others who were present in the conference were included Dr. T.R. Sharma, M.R. Tariq, Sanjeev Arora, Mrs. Veena Bakshi, Mrs, Anju Gupta, Mrs Nisha Sharma, Sh. Sanjeev Parihar, Ab. Qayoom, M.L. Chlotra.
