Final match of Shaheed Lieutenant Thakur Dass Memorial Cricket Tournament was played at Govt Hr. Sec. School Akhnoor between All Stars Jourian Khour and Northern Cricket Club. All Stars Jourian won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first A.S.J.K.C.C scored 228/5 in 20 overs. Ishtiaq 93 (47), Rahul 54 (22), Robin 25 (12) were top scorers from A.S.J.K.C.C From NCC Aadil and Sunny Shared 2 wickets each and Ankush got 1 wicket. While chasing the target NCC tried hard but scored only 215/8 Bhanu 84 (39), Lakhan 48 (30), Puneet 21 (12), Taseer 19 (10) were top scorers from NCC and from A.S.J .K.C.C Jattin got 3 wickets, Monu and latto shared 2 wickets each while Istiaq got one. All Star Cricket Club Jourian Khour C.C. beat Northern C.C by 14 runs and lifted the Final Trophy with Cash Prize Rs 25000. The runner Up team got Trophy with Cash Rs 15000. Ishtiaq was declared Man of the match Match, Rahul Sharma as Man Of the Series. Rahul Sharma is declared best batsman of the tournament, Jatin Wadhwan as best bowler of the tournament. Dayal Singh & Vikas Bali were the umpires whereas Rohit Kumar, Sushil Gupta & Arjun Kumar were Scorers. Farooq khan (Hon’ble Advisor to Lieut Governor J&K) was the Chief Guest on the occasion with Sh Rajeev Sharma (Ex. MLA Akhnoor) was the Guest of Honour. Other dignitaries were Sh D.K. Kapoor (President Akhnoor Sports Club), Kr Sham Singh Langeh (Gen Secretary Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association District Jammu), Dh Surinder Khajuria (Secy ASC), Sh Gopal Singh (SDM Akhnoor), Sh Varun Jandial (SDPO Akhnoor), Mrs Sunita Sharma (Vice Principal GHSS Akhnoor), Sh Deepak Manni, Dr. R.C. Kashap (Vice President ASC), Dr. Vidya Sagar verma (Jt. Secy ASC), Sh Vishnu Kant Sharma (Chairman Thakur Dass Memorial Tournament), Sh Raj Pal Sharma, Dr. Gagan Singh, Dr. Tilak Raj Gupta, Sh Jugal Gupta, Sh Jagpal Sharma, Sh Raman Gupta, Sh Suresh Gupta, Sh Sonu Malhotra,Sh Jimmy Manni, Sh Rajinder Sharma, Sh Parveen Kumar, Madam Kuldeep Kour and a large gathering of spectators.
