Former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta along with Vinay Kumar Gupta- President BJP District Jammu continued with the distribution of dry ration and face covers/ masks to 154 families in Ward no.68 Ambika Colony, Greater Kailash needy persons in Gandhi Nagar constituency. Others who accompanied Gupta were Ankush Gupta -General Secretary BJP District Jammu, Anil Kumar- BJYM District President & Councillor, Narinder Gupta Koki- Secretary BJP District Jammu, Bharat Bhushan Sharma -Mandal President, Capt.Jameet Singh, Rohit Verma, Sanjay Kumar, Rohiin Chandan,Tara Chand Sahil Gupta among other prominent residents of the area. Similar functions were organised across Gandhi Nagar Constituency under the supervision of senior BJP leaders.

Today was 45th day of distribution of ration, medicines, sanitizers and face masks by BJP.
On the occasion Gupta said, we believe in the mantra of “Nar sewa- Narayan Sewa” and it is the duty of every volunteer engaged in serving the society to ensure that not a single person remains without food, medicines and other necessities. Gupta said amid COVID-19 lock down, every karyakarta is doing commendable job throughout the country and assisting administration during the pandemic which can spread like anything. Gupta urged residents of the locality to follow the guidelines issued by various departments for mitigating the deadly corona virus. Gupta said our volunteers are engaged in different types of services from home delivery of medicines, distribution of ration/masks/sanitizers, assisting in travel passes to helping elderly in their routine works at home.
Later in the evening, while responding to PM Narendra Modi and BJP National President Sh. JP Nadda ji’s call, Gupta along with BJP District Jammu team met and honored the municipal warriors from Gandhi Nagar Constituency at different places, who are performing their duties, in true spirits, to control the spread of heaps of garbage which can further lead to spread of diseases during the lockdown period, by risking their lives for the sake of citizens.
Meanwhile Kavinder Gupta issued a statement thereby requesting a comprehensive compensation plan for the Auto Rickshaw/Taxi drivers and all such daily engaged workers, who are badly affected and are not able to earn their livelihood. Lt. Governor Administration may kindly provide the funds to the transport and other department to be disbursed to these drivers as they are very much co-operating with the administration by abiding to the lockdown orders. Gupta also stressed for the credentials of elderly, who are either living alone or away from their families and support network. Gupta said the volunteers have to carry all the necessary contact details of the more and more senior citizens and the essentials they need, in terms of food and medicine.
