Amitabh Bachchan’s granddaughter Navya Nanda reacted to the ongoing ‘ripped jeans’ trend that is all over the internet after Uttarakhand CM Tirath Singh Rawat commented on women wearing ripped jeans and the “example they set up before their children and the society.” The star kid took to social media to express her disagreement with this statement by the CM and also shared a picture of herself in ripped jeans. Navya wrote on Instagram, “Change your mentality before changing our clothes because the only thing shocking here is the message comments like this sent to society.” Well, while sharing her picture in ripped jeans, she wrote, “I’ll wear my ripped jeans. Thank you. And I’ll wear them proudly,”Not only Navya but her grandmother Jaya Bachchan also responded to this statement of Uttarakhand CM. She told ANI, “Those in higher posts must think and then make public statements. You say such things in today’s times, you will decide who’s cultured and who’s not based on clothes? It’s bad mindset and encourages crimes against women,”The CM of Uttarakhand gave his statement on ‘ripped jeans’ while speaking at the workshop organised by the Uttarakhand State Commission for Protection of Child Rights in Dehradun on Tuesday. As soon as his remarks went public, it got viral on the internet like a forest fire and people started sharing their thoughts on the topic and criticised the CM.
