Facebook-owned WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature for Android beta users. With this update, Android users will be able to record and send voice messages with ease.
The new update will enable users to lock the recording of voice messages. The company introduced the same feature for its iOS users last year. Android users will now be able to record the voice messages without holding the mic button for the entire time.
In order to use the feature, you just need to tap on the recording button and drag it upwards. Once done you will notice a lock icon on the screen and the recording going on. Once you have deon with the recording you can push the send button and voice messages will be delivered. However, if you want to discard the recording then you just have to tap on the cancel button placed next to the timer and your voice message will get deleted.Along with this, it has also been reported that WhatsApp is working on some stickers. WABetaInfo, the Twitter account which keeps track of WhatsApp changes have shared the image of a sticker pack which might come to WhatsApp. The popular instant messenger will also tell the size of the sticker pack to the users before they download it.
Last month, WhatsApp rolled out an update which improved the number change feature on Android. On Android, the company has improved the ‘Change Number’ feature this time to let you choose if want to notify everyone about your new number or select users. The screenshot posted on the website shows the feature description “You can notify your contacts about your new number. You groups will be notified regardless.” This is followed by three options – All contacts, Contacts I have chats with, and Custom. Blocked numbers won’t be notified.
These options will be shown only after the user goes into the Settings > Account and ‘Change Number’ option.
