Ankita Lokhande, who rose to fame with the Indian television show Pavitra Rishta and went on to make her mark in films like Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, is stepping into a new chapter of her career as a producer. The actress has announced that she will co-produce the revival of Chandni Bar under Legend Studios, alongside Sandip Singh and Vicky Jain. The sequel, which comes 25 years after the release of the original cult classic, is set to be her debut venture behind the camera. Reflecting on her journey, Ankita credits television for shaping her career. “Television has given me everything—my name, my recognition, and my foundation. I’ll always be grateful to Ektaa Kapoor for believing in me when I was just starting out. That one chance changed my life forever,” she said warmly. With her production debut, Ankita Lokhande not only pays tribute to a landmark film but also signals her intent to help shape the industry’s next generation.
