Before the lockdown, Anu Emmanuel was signed on as one of the leading ladies for Bellamkonda Srinivas’ film, ‘Alludu Adhurs’.
The Santosh-Srinivas directorial is to feature the actress as an architect, a role that the actress states will be engaging.
“It’s not a regular architect’s role but a character with a completely different dimension. The film came to me just at the time I was looking for interesting scripts. The layers and shades that are associated with the role makes it more entertaining,” explains the Majnu actress.
Adding that she hasn’t prepared anything for the part but has chosen to go with her natural self, Anu shares,
“I went with the flow and tried to be as natural as possible yet give the role my own spin. I believe the role would take the audience by surprise.” Interestingly, Anu’s earlier films such as Majnu, Agnathavasi and Oxygen have all had two leading ladies. Doesn’t she fear being side lined?
“I don’t really look into such things when I am signing a film. What my role is, what new it offers and how am I feeling in that moment about it are what I consider,” says the actress.
