Continuing election campaign in favour of the Apni Party candidates in Samba District’s constituencies, the Provincial President of the Party, Jammu, and Former Minister, S. Manjit Singh today said that the Party will regularize all the daily wagers serving in different departments of the J&K Govt.
“More than 61, 000 daily wagers have been working in different Govt departments in Jammu and Kashmir. Many of them have retired from the service without getting any benefit from the Govt or the concerned departments in the last two decades,” said S. Manjit Singh, addressing a meeting of the people at Smailpur and other villages of Bari Brahmana in Samba District as a part of election campaign.
During these meetings, the Former Minister said that the Apni Party is aware of the difficulties being faced by the daily wagers because of poor response from the Govt regarding their regularization issue.
“The issue of daily wagers will be treated on humanitarian ground to regularize them and accordingly, the release of their pending wages immediately if the Apni Party comes to power in Jammu and Kashmir,” he asserted, while elaborating the party’s policy that would be implemented for all the sections of society for their social and economic upliftment.
He also pointed out the poor financial condition of the daily wagers, whose wages remain pending for months together, compelling them to strive for the wages.
He also extended support for the demand of implementing the minimum wage act in Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile, he referred to the underdevelopment in Smailpur, and its adjoining villages and uprooted roads, lanes, and damaged drains following flash flood and irresponsible response of the authorities towards the growing concerns of the people.
He said that the democratic Govt will hold the irresponsible officials accountable for their negligence towards the public issues.
In the meantime, he asked the people to extend their vote, and support to the Apni Party candidate in the scheduled assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir for equitable development, protection to the rights of the locals, and employment for the unemployed educated youth.
