Speaking on the occasion, Former Minister, and Provincial President, Manjit Singh said that they have constituted OBC and SC committees so that the neglected section of society can be represented by their own people.
“The OBC has a long pending demand of 27 % reservation in J&K. However, their issues are not being addressed by the Govt. It has deprived them of their rights,” said Manjit Singh.
Expressing commitment, he said that “Apni Party will fight for all the people whether farmers or students or unemployed youth. We do not do discrimination with anyone. We equally treat everyone in the society.”
Congratulating the OBC and SC committee members, the OBC State Coordinator, Madan Lal Chalotra said that Other Backward Class community has remained neglected for decades in J&K and their representatives enjoyed power by keeping their community in poverty and unrepresented.
“Time has come when the people will have to stand for themselves and there would be no scope for their further exploitation,” Chalotra said.
On this occasion, SC State Coordinator, Bodh Raj Bhagat said that the SC community has always been treated as vote bank by the previous Govts and the political parties have misled them with their hollow slogans.
