Apni Party Provincial President, Jammu, and Former Minister, S. Manjit Singh today said that the Party has gained strength across the Jammu plains with the joining of the people who have been impressed with the policy of the Apni Party.
As per a press release, a meeting of party workers cum joining program was organized at Chohala Road in R. S. Pura. The meeting was organized by District President (Rural) R. S. Pura, Advocate Harpreet Singh.
During the meeting, a prominent social activist, Karan Singh joined Apni Party along with his dozens of supporters. Welcoming the new entrants into the Party folds, the Former Minister expressed satisfaction and hoped that their joining would strengthen the party to expand its roots in R.S. Pura further.
In his address, he said that the Party cadre has worked hard in R.S. Pura and its adjoining areas due to which people from different sections of society have joined the Party.
“The people clearly differentiate between the traditional parties and the Apni Party because of its developmental agenda and policy to provide equal facilities to everyone,” he said.
He said that the Party aims to bring peace, and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir by protecting the rights of the locals, and enabling them to earn their livelihood without migration to other parts of the country.
“The resources will be protected for the locals, and the outsiders will not be authorized to utilize the resources meant for the locals or get contracts,” he said, while coming down heavily on the liquor and mining mafia.
He said that the people, who were engaged in these trades, were left unemployed with the involvement of influential outsiders. “We will compromise and fight back for the rights of the people,” he said, expressing dismay over the plight of the people.
He also raised the issues of the farmers and demanded that their KCC loan shall be waived off and they shall be provided a relief by the Govt.
In the wake of soaring heat in the Jammu region, he said that the Govt should provide free of cost electricity and drinking water supply to the people in Jammu region keeping in view the severity of the heat wave.
