An impressive roadshow was today taken out here at Mendhar in Poonch District by the leaders of the Apni Party during an election campaign in support of Party candidate for Rajouri – Anantnag Parliamentary seat, Zafar Iqbal Manhas sahab.
The roadshow was organized by Youth Wing Vice President, Media Coordinator, and Spokesperson of the Party, Raqeeq Ahmed Khan.
In this roadshow, hundreds of people including Party leaders and workers under the leadership Provincial President Jammu of the Party, and Former Minister, S. Manjit Singh in Mendhar town.
While shouting slogans in support of the Party candidate, the roadshow was taken out by the Party leaders and workers, consisting of hundreds of vehicles i.e., cars, and motorbikes that passed through various villages after it started from the Mendhar town.
Speaking on the occasion, the Former Minister, S. Manjit Singh asked the people to give a chance to the Party candidate Zafar Iqbal Manhas sahab to represent them from the Rajouri – Anantnag Parliamentary seat.
“The people of Pir Panjal always remained neglected, and their demands of development and employment were not fulfilled although they exercised their vote to elect the Member of Parliament of their choice in the past,” he added.
He further said that Zafar Iqbal Manhas Sahab is a local candidate, who is familiar with the difficulties faced by the people in the region.
“Manhas sahab has committed to leave no stone unturned to get a separate Parliamentary seat so that the people’s aspiration can be addressed by their own Member of Parliament,” he added.
He said that the Party and its candidate, Manhas sahab has focused on empowering the people of Rajouri and Poonch and to strengthen the voices supporting equitable development, and employment.
He said that if the Party candidate, Zafar Iqbal Manhas sahab is elected to the Lok Sabha, the Party would work to get Hill Development Council for the Rajouri-Poonch, exploration of new sites for tourism at the national and international level to boost the local economy and generate employment, and construction of two tunnels i.e., Dera Ke Gali, and Peer Ki Gali on Mughal Road to make the alternative route operational throughout the year.
Meanwhile, other leaders also spoke on the occasion including Provincial Vice President, Jammu, Ex-MLA Faqir Nath, Provincial Secretary of the Party, Riaz Aatish, SC State President, Bodh Raj Bhagat, State President of the Apni Trade Union, Ajaz Kazmi, Provincial President, Jammu, Youth Wing, Vipul Bali, District President Udhampur, Hans Raj Dogra, and others.
Those who participated in the rally include District President Youth Wing, Samba, Mangat Ram, Ajaz Ahmed Khan, Tahir Mirza, Mazhar Khan, Wasim Khokher, Sardar Wahid-ullah Khan, Anis Khan, Yasir Khan, Nayeem Mirza, Tanveer Khan, Sikander Azam, Saqib Khan, Ramzan Khan, Sohail Ahmed, Munawar Mirza, Nadeem Ahmed Khan, Murtaza Khan, Ghulam Kader Khan, Kazafi Khan, Raja Tariq Khan, and others.
