Aradhana- a ray of hope, an NGO that is working to provide fundamental education to the less fortunate children collaborated with Indian Army, Wusan, J&K to forge ahead in one of the project under SELF EMPOWERMENT THR OUGH SKILL DEVE LOPMENT initiative for the youth and women to boost them became self reliant and strengthen the overall fabric of the society.
The project executed by the Army was establishment of a Computer Training Centre at Chattergul in Kangan Tehsil Kashmir.
Aradhana in its effort provided 12 computers which are being set up in the lab. This will give access to a total of 25 students to use the desktops in one batch. These computer systems were donated by Facebook and Instagram followers of team Aradhana. Monika Mitter, founder and chairperson of the organisation on behalf of her whole team gave credits to the Jammuities for coming forward for his noble cause. She also assured that team Aradhana-A Ray of hope will continue joining hands with Indian Army in near future.
The centre was inaugurated by Brig Maheshwar Singh, presence of officials from Civil Administration and he urged the people to strive harder in life to achieve success and excellence. Till date 72 boys and girls of varied age groups have registered themselves for training and 2 computer course holders have volunteered to teach. The establishment of computer centre will prepare the youth to hone up their skills which will enable them to secure employment. The people in the area expressed their gratitude towards Army for their humanitarianism.
