Young Aravindh Chidambram maintained the lead with 5.5 points even as he had a drawn game in the sixth round of the ongoing Senior National Chess Championship under the aegis of All India Chess Federation, here today.
Grand Master Aravindh’s winning run was halted by another GM Anurag Mhamal of Goa to share the points. Now, sole leader at the top of the points’ table, Aravindh is followed by four equally good GMs, Vaibhav Suri, Sengupta Deep, Deepan Chakkravarthy and Vishnu Prasanna with five points each.
