Actor Sridevi‘s sudden death last year united Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor with Janhvi and Khushi. While the young girls were still trying to come to the terms with their mother’s death, both Arjun and Anshula stood like rocks behind Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor. Their father Boney Kapoor found strong support in his grown-up son Arjun Kapoor, who reportedly didn’t share a close bond with him before. It’s been a year to the demise of Sridevi and Arjun says it’s unfortunate that they came together under such devastating circumstances.
The actor talked to Spotboye and revealed that when it happened, he called his massi first and asked for her suggestions. Arjun said that her aunt, Archana Shourie told him that he should do what is right and that gave him the courage to be with his father during the time when he needed his support the most. Arjun said he did what he felt was right then. The actor added that had he went on to collect more opinion, it would have turned out manipulative and therefore, he went with his instincts. Arjun said, “I am happy that I followed my instinct. I have no regrets. But I would never wish such a thing to happen to even my worst enemy. I wish it hadn’t come to that thing for us to react towards each other.”
The actor went on to say that at that time, all he felt was his mother would have wanted him to stand with his father in the time of family crisis. Arjun said his mother loved his father and she would have always wanted him to be around his father. He was quoted by the portal saying, “Even my mom would have wanted it this way, and not that I was doing a heroic act. She would have wanted his near and dear ones to be near him.”
The actor maintained that he and Anshula will always be there for Janhvi and Khushi as they understand they have lived their lives sheltered so far. The actor said he wants to be a supportive brother for the sisters as they ‘had led a nurtured and sheltered life.’ He said he would never wish for even his enemy to go through such a deep loss in life. Arjun revealed that he is still discovering his equation with Janhvi and Khushi. He said, “I am still discovering her and Khushi both, it’s a process. I crack some jokes, they laugh on some and they don’t laugh on some.”
